1971 Sunn 200s and custom cab restore
« on: August 08, 2012, 06:12:14 pm »
Just got this finished a couple of months ago and have been so busy playing, I had not got around to posting any photos.   Thanks to EdBass, johnk-10 over at Talkbass, Don Oatman at LDS Cabs and Conrad Sundholm for the email responses and hands-on help along the way.

Nice! A more than reasonable facsimile of a Sonic I40, well done!
Do you have flats on that P?

Thanks Ed.   The I40 appearance is what I was shooting for.    I keep flats on my Hofner and my Gibson EB-3.    So, that particular P-Bass is actually wearing some nicely broken-in Fender roundwounds.    Gives me great growl through the Sunn, with nice punch.    That bass goes from Jamerson to Entwistle in a single turn of the tone knob.   But, it never sounded better than it does through that Sunn.    What a great amp.
