Using a Concert PA head for bass?
« on: March 18, 2011, 01:52:52 pm »
Found a Concert PA Controller head locally for a good deal, so I am going to pick it up. My intend on using it for bass. I am wondering how well these do with bass. Due to being unemployed for a while, I am slowly picking back up gear as deals present themselves. I have an Ampeg B25 2x15 cab on its way, that is 4 and 16 ohm selectable.
Also, I plan on getting another cab along the way. Most likely another 2x15 or possibly a 6x10. If do, would running both off the PA head work well, or should I get a slave? The music I play is down tempo, drummer/bass player only, instrumental doomy type stuff. So I want to be loud enough to be a "lead" over the drumming.

Thanks.
