Sunn Beta Lead Fuses
« on: November 03, 2010, 10:32:07 pm »
I just got a Sunn Beta Lead. Plugged it in and it obviously needed the pots cleaned. I opened it up and found cobwebs etc.

At this point I noticed that one of the fuses on the inside was blown. I took out the fuses and went to the store to replace them.

I have a feeling the fuses were the wrong fuses because it says on the inside "Replace with same fuse. 6 amp" But neither of the fuses on the inside were 6 amp fuses.

Does anyone know exactly what type of fuses are used in a Sunn Beta Lead? I looked at a Schematic and had no Idea what it was telling me.

Thanks

I looked at a schematic, but didn't see any 6 amp fuses. Can you post the schematic you looked at, or a link to it?

Here is the one I looked at: http://sunn.ampage.org/site/svcmans/beta/betamanual22.jpg
It shows an external 2.5 amp slo-blo fuse, and two internal 10 amp fuses.

Isn't that the Schematic for the Beta Power Amp and not the Beta Lead?

maybe this is it?

I got the 6 Amp thing from inside the amp itself, that's what was written on the board next to the fuses inside. But it might make sense if they are 10 amp because I'm pretty sure that one of the ones I found inside was 10 amp.

Thanks....I really couldn't read the schematic at all.
