reverb tanks

so my 2007 crate blue voodoo head so far i have changed the trannys and added a choke thanks to mercury magnetics also tweaked the gain stage a bit and the only other thing that is not making me happy is the reverb tank its the 3 spring 9 1/4 medium was thinking of changing it out to a fender style 2 spring long .

any thoughts?

Plenty of it, though I think if I were to ever do as many mods to an amp, I would go with the excessively moddable Peavey VTM series. Would have rather had a VTM 120 instead of a BV-120H, never liked that amp.

More like the song BEEEEEEEEEES!!! Where it just goes, "BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES!!! BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUZZ!!!" Yeah, it really is. Only way to get any sound out of it that I liked was with a million different OD and Fuzz effects. Then again that was only on the clean channel. The drive channel was like, "HA! HA! HA! NO."

Certainly can't hurt to try a loooong spring but the input and output impedances need to match whatever is used by the Voodoo Child.
