sunn model T reissue
« on: February 13, 2009, 08:25:08 am »
I am new to this forum, but much like all of you I too am a SUNN fan. I recently bought a SUNN Model T reissue and noticed when I go from the clean channel to the gain channel it is considerably quieter. I have heard that some amps have a limiter that will do this. Is this true and if so is there any way I could remove this with out damaging the amp, or should I try different tubes. thanks in advance.

i just got a reissue myself. why can't i run my RAT2 distortion over the clean channel? it sounds very high pitched and puts out a lot of feedback?
good question about the clean vs gain. i have asked a lot of people with no response.

yeah I also have a rat it's a vintage version and I have that same problem not that it's a bad thing but some times it's unnecessary. try running it through the gain channel and set the gain at 4/5 and try to use as little mid as possible that seems to help a little any.
