FS: Solarus guitar head
« on: June 11, 2006, 03:34:10 pm »
I'm reluctant to put this guy on the 'bay.  Late 60s model (no midboost switch) in great condition.  Completely gone over, re-tubed, etc. in January and not used very much since then.  Pictures available upon request; get in touch with offers or questions.
Thanks for looking.

Is this one of the EL34 heads or one of the later 6550 heads? Also what would you like to get for it. I really don't need another Sunn head, but then need has nothing to do with it.

When I got my hands on it, it had EL34 tubes.  I used JJ E34Ls to retube it - basically the same as EL34s, but a little more headroom and better natural harmonics in the mids.

Email or PM me to discuss price.  Keep in mind this head needs no repairs; it's ready to plug in and play unlike most of its contemporaries.
