Wanted - vintage Model T (or maybe 2000s)
« on: December 16, 2010, 02:54:40 pm »
yeah, I'm THAT original, so I'm looking for a vintage Model T, either 1st or 2nd gen (not interested in reissues)

I'd consider a 2000s too

I'm in Montreal, Canada so I would need it shipped if not located in a driveable distance

I've got some music gear I could possibly trade in.

thanks!
gear :
big stack of amps
some cool basses
old and scratchy synths

Driveable distance, eh?

One of your countrymen just drove from Montreal to Maryland to buy my 2nd Gen. You gotta admire that sort of dedication (or insanity).

I'll keep my eyes peeled for ya, mate.

I don't think I would have the time to go to Maryland though...

It was a reasonable deal, but not a steal by any stretch: $1450

For what it's worth, a 2000s just popped up on Craigslist here in Baltimore for $1000.

When life gives you lemons, buy amplifiers.

There's one in Michigan.

yeah saw this one. I emailed the guy asking for shipping, he said he would check for a rate but did not get back to me. Maybe he sold it locally...

Most people avoid shipping because they don't want to pack it, quote prices, schedule pickups, etc.  Ask him to bring it to a ups or fedex store for packing and shipping, and then call the store in advance with your credit card info and shipping address.  This way there's no work on his end other than dropping it off.  It will probably cost about double, but it will also be protected if it gets damaged (the shipping company can't blame the seller for poor packaging and deny the insurance claim).  Just a suggestion!  If the ad's still up, hopefully it's still available!

Verellen Amplifiers (http://www.verellenamplifiers.com/) will make a clone Model T and ship it to you for under $2000.

It won't say Sunn, but it's another viable option.

yeah I saw yours, looks cool but I don't have that money right now...
the one from a shop that sold a while ago was more in my range (had it for $1100 shipped but someone came into the shop and bought it while I was exchanging emails with a guy to finish the deal...fml)
