No he doesn't...not exactly anyway. He has his "California" series, which is in the same ballpark as the JBL's, but not all that close since it only has a 2 inch voice coil and the JBL has a 4 inch. He is working on a JBL D130 clone, and from there to the 140 is pretty close, but its not to market yet from what I hear.

my eden 2X15 looks very much like the old sunn 2X15. But it has the vents on the ends. Just thought it was very close, super close.  any way, late. -ian

another way you could go with speakers for you cab and still be true to the sunn sound...go on ebay...get two 16 ohm d140  jbl's..have them reconed...stick them in..you'll be happy...enough said....now go do it.....smiles...

The RCF speakers look very close to JBL's. I thought i read somewhere that they made a knockoff of the D series for many years after JBL stopped. Anyone heard any about that?

I bought a RCF recone kit for $50.00 and it dropped into a D 140 frame without a hitch.

You might want to look into them.
