6 degrees of separation.....
« on: May 01, 2015, 06:59:43 pm »
Jack Ely, singer and guitarist with the Kingsmen has died at age 71 in Oregon. As many of you know, the Kingsmen were famous for their cover of Richard Berry's "Louie Louie". And the band's bassist was Norm Sundholm. And Norm's brother is Conrad Sundholm, the founder of our beloved amp manufacturer ....Sunn. RIP Jack.

Apparently Louie was Richard Berry's bartender.

I don't think Jack and Norm were in the band at the same time. The bass player for Jack's tenure was Bob Norby.

Patlaw....yes, I think you are correct. However, I had not used up all 6 degrees, so maybe it still counts! Anyway, RIP Mr. Ely.
