Any idea how much a Studio Lead might be worth?
« on: January 26, 2009, 04:24:09 pm »
Hi, i've recently been given a (broken) sunn studio lead (70's solid state combo) and i'd like some idea what it's worth spending on it to get it fixed. Can't find much information about the model anywhere so i expect its not a particularly sort after one.... any help much appreciated, cheers.....

I've seen Sunn Studio Leads in working condition offered for sale at $200 on Craigslist and eBay. I don't know what they sold for, or if they sold at all. Given even minimal repair costs, I'd guess that it might sell for $100 -$150 at best.

that sounds pretty believable....of course, over here in the UK it's practically impossible to find any kind of Sunn amp these days so it might be worth a little more i suppose. that and the fact that everything is much more expensive here. thanks for the reply!
