Oh yeah, totally forgot about Dez's possible gear. Cool to know he was running Sunns though.
Seems like a popular choice for the scene/area at the time along w/ Frank Navetta of The Descendents (running a Beta Lead) as well as countless others I'm sure.

Yeah, almost 100% certain. I'm still looking for the picture where Dez is using this giant stack with either a Coliseum or a red knob Concert on top.

I'm also starting to get the feeling that The Faction (classic skate-punk from Santa Cruz/San Jose) used Sunn amps, based on their tones in their recordings, Betas and Alphas specifically.

I really love those amps. I have to say, as much as people swear by the Coliseums, I really like the Beta Series a lot. Tons of bands have used them to record some of the best, heaviest and weirdest records of all time. Nirvana, The Melvins, Tool, Slash

I also really love the whole era of The Melvins when Kevin played bass. All Beta Bass all the time.

I really wanna build a rack set up with a Beta BP-10 like Buzz has or at least get a Beta. However, I feel utterly dedicated to my red knob Concert Lead and RAT 2 and don't see that changing anytime soon as my main rig.
