300T with 215s early 70's cab
« on: January 28, 2002, 06:27:00 pm »
I own a 215s cab from the early 70's.  It has 2x15 JBL K140 speakers.  Can this cab handle the power of the 300T newer model bass amp?  It sounds killer, but I don't dare go over 5 or 6 on the channel and master volumes with the gain around 5 or 6 as well.  Not sure if I am asking for trouble on either the amp or cabinet.

Son, yer askin' the question the wrong way 'round!

The question is whether a puny 300T has the ..... to drive them righteous 140's!

Trust yer ears, but do remember that them JBL's is probably older than you are.

...and ifin' ya don't believe what a great cab ya got - just put it up for sale!

Seriously, unless something is blown, you should have a really great, great set up.
