Title: Late 70's Concert Bass
Post by: slicepaperdavid on September 09, 2014, 01:25:38 am
Just recieved a Concert Bass, so stoked to plug into this thing on Weds. Will the Concert Bass have enough volume with an 8ohm 4X12 cab to keep up with a 120 Watt Tube head? Im going to slam this thing with a Black Arts Pharaoh, very excited. The Footswitch input on the back has what apears to be a plastic plug thats almost flush with the back panel instead of the usual input jack. Hope its stuck on the Distortion channel or Im going to be pissed!

That Amp doesn't have distortion! But it is a great amp! The silver face amps has distortion.

It doesn't have dist channel but it does have distortion, when you crank it up. I used to call it fuzz in a big box. I can see no purpose to use this amp for any different reason than getting dirt out of it, which is pretty cool (but it's clean sound is poor compared to any tube Sunn amp).

Anyway at 8 ohm you won't reach it's full volume, but if your 4x12 is efficient, you can still be pretty loud with this amp.
