« on: May 11, 2015, 12:07:15 am »
Hi
If anyone knows about this cabinet?
Is a Sunn built in Mexico. you know that speakers mounts?
I have a SUNN 200s, it is suitable for this type of cabinet?
I'm a bass player
thanks

I have a very similar cabinet. Same model (Model 215), but the cabinet corners are different. I think it would sound fine with a 200S head. I don't recall if I've run my 200S through my Model 215. I generally use it with my Model T.

This is not one of the fabled Mexican Sunns from the 70s. This is a 90-00s Fender era 2x15 that would be paired with a hybrid 1200s head or a Sunn 300T/Fender Bassman 300. It's probably going to sound more modern with that cab, if it's well designed that is.

All I've seen are pictures of Concert Leads and a Concert Bass in person that looks like a transition from a silver knob to a red knob model. All I know is that they were made in Mexico under Hartzell in the 70s. Just didn't want the OP thinking it was vintage cab they have/are looking at.

Though I have seen the inside of the Mexican Concert Bass and it looked nothing like a silver knob or a red knob Concert series head. Also it's on user basshog's bench right now and both he and the owner say it is not clean sounding at all unlike the stupid clean sounding silver knob and red knob Concert amps that were USA made.

Best bet for value is to look up the model on eBay and check the SOLD listings to get an idea for what people have been paying for them.

I think I paid $200 for mine, about ten years ago.
