Help Id'ing a Sunn Head (Pic Included)
« on: October 05, 2009, 02:22:01 pm »
Older picture of a friend of my Father's, noticed the Sunn head in back, could not make it out. Kind of curious as to the model. Thanks for helping.

  Hi there,it looks like a 2nd generation,(red knobs) Concert Lead head to me.Don't think it's a Coliseum,can't be a 100% sure,little hard to read silkscreening on amp.Mel.

my best guess would be that its a concert lead
it could possibly be the concert bass that had more knobs though.

I'm willing to bet that it's a later version of the Coliseum Lead. Just take a look at this Coliseum Bass:

And even my Coliseum Keyboard looks like rmr84's amp.

The amp is a Concert Lead as seen in the 1979 catalog.

Yup, that's a Peavey.

Haha, geez you guys, ESR only went out of business for copying Peavey's designs.. Many of their (non-plush) amps and cabs look just like Peavey's, from the position of the brand logo and the tolex right down to the silver bars down the side..

anyway, it was just wishful thinking.. Don't see to many Earth pieces around these days, and I get all warm and fuzzy inside when I see one paired with a Sunn!
