1969 SUNN 1000S FOR SALE!
« on: June 09, 2010, 02:54:16 am »
1969 SUNN 1000S IN GREAT SHAPE! The catalogs say that the amp was developed in San Francisco with ideas and testing by the Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane, Pete Townsend and Jimi Hendrix. How's that? 120 WATTS RMS 4 6550'S in the power section, 2-GZ34's (5AR4's) rectifier tubes, 1-6AN8, 1-12AU7 and 1-7025 (a low-noise 12AX7) no reverb tank and tremolo is not working may just need a foot switch ....this is a 2000s for the most part. all offers excepted within reason I paid $650 for this 2 years ago.

dude that is a 2000s plus some.... it does not get as deep though but it sounds great just picked up one off ebay for 600... and wow is it clean apparently the guy that started the company groove tubes owned it for 20+ years... this amp is just as good as the 2000s for guitar and almost as good for bass... in my opinion... I still think the 60's coliseum PA heads I own rule all over the kingdom sunndumb... i just love the primitive sheer volume and tonal qualities of the coliseum pa heads...  even more than my 70's model t's... anyway if resonably priced buy this amp I would've paid up to a grand for mine not hearing how it sounds ...but now that I have one it sounds like $1,500.00 or more (aka priceless in my book cuz i could never affor $1500 for a head)
