need FMIC Model T schematics / line out question
« on: February 18, 2003, 07:03:22 pm »
Hi there everybody,

I'm looking for schematics of the FMIC Model T.

Also I have a question about the line out and the XLR line out.
My guess is that the line out is coming from the preamp section and that the XLR line out is the same as the speaker output signal but dropped to line level. Do I understand correctly ?  I suppose the amp doesn't have an internal load and that there must be a load in the speaker output when using the any of the line outs ?

Thanks !!

send me a personal message with your email and I'll send you one.

Otherwise, call Fender at (480)596-7195, ext. 7286 and have them email/fax you a copy, or send them $5 for a hard copy.

I just phoned them yesterday to get this same schematic!

The XLR output is off the output transformer, it has a separate secondary winding.

The "main amp out" is before the power amp - meaning after both the preamp and effect loop stages.

No tube amp should ever be operated without a load on the output transformer secondary.  You are correct... this amp does not have an internal transformer load.
