Title: Picked up a '71 190L
Post by: Bruce Clement on September 06, 2018, 07:02:35 pm
I've always thought the old Sunn amps looked badass. I just got this one today. I haven't opened it up yet, but everything works 100% and it's pretty quiet. And plenty loud.

Pretty clean for an almost 50 year old amp! I Like the look of your BC amps, the colors and stripes remind me of 1960's sports cars. The first thing I think of when I see the JTX 45 is the iconic Gulf Porsche livery, specifically those magnificent 917's.

Thanks. Those 917s were the inspiration for that one.

Turns out it's a '74.

It appears to be all original and untouched, from what I can tell. I have no previous experience with Sunn amps. I have removed the "death cap."

I have a few technical questions about this amp, but I'll start separate threads on those. Just thought I'd share my excitement!
