Roger Daltry

(1/1)

loudthud:
Roger Daltry (lead singer of The Who) was on Jimmy Kimmel Live last week. The bass player was using a 2000S (maybe a 350B) with a 4x12 cabinet.

I had to check this clip out a few days ago myself to hear how the throat surgery that he done had improved his voice.  Sounds like he's doing much better than he was a few years back.  If he and Pete decide to get back on the road I may have to go see them again especially if Zak Starkey is playing drums again.

I also noticed the vintage Sunn rig that the bass player was using.  Very cool... 8-)

I was just thinking the same thing after seeing the clip. Which led me to another thought: I think that might be the shows amp. I want to say I've seen a few other artists using Sunn set ups on there before, specifically a 1200s/1000s amp (which that is. ON close inspection, it has the shorter name area, 7 knobs I believe, and no bass boost that I can see). I also remember seeing Norah Jone's bassist on one of those shows (Jay, Jimmy, Conan?), using a 1200s/1000s, though into a 2000s cab. Either way, both had guitar Sunn amps, both being produced in Burbank, CA? Methinks they might belong to a rental company in the area......

Still, LOVE seeing Sunn out there getting played.
