3rd Session Rocks
« on: July 26, 2007, 04:36:38 pm »
Our Band "3rd Session" is actually the third iteration of a group which began in 1965 during Jr. High School... We still have five of the original members with a few younger add-ons. There were other folks in the old days who used Sunn equipment but we couldn't afford it so built our own Heathkit Amplifiers!!  Eventually during the second iteration in the 70's and 80's, I purchased and Alpha Four PA amp which we still use today in our practice venue.  Now in our third iteration, I now have resurrected a Concert Bass with a 2-15 cab and use it for gigging.  I sure hope it hangs together because not only does it kick butt in quality but it is also a nostalgia rush for me and the the individuals who attend our shows.

So did your Heathkit building include the TA-17 piggy-back or was it the smaller combo amp - can't remember that one.

We built two of the smaller 2-12 combo amps first then upgraded to the piggy back versions with dual cabinets...  we had four of those  :-)
