question about Coliseum 300

I play punk/hardcore and am looking at a coliseum 300.  is this the right head choice for me?  i would be running it through a 2x15 mesa-boogie head.  
any advice you could give me would be great

Hello:
  The Coliseum 300 will produce 300 watts into 2 ohms, 200 watts into 4 ohms, and about 125 watts into 8 ohms. If you are using 8 ohm speakers (parallel) in that cabinet then you will get 200watts of power from the 300. It has a nice compression built in so it can get fat and loud. It also has a x-over output.
