is there any way to look up info on a amp with the serial numbers???

No, probably not.

Some amps are around without serial numbers. I mean, never had one.

And I have seen way too many amps of the same model where the later or newer amp has a lower number than an older amp.

Personal opinion: Serial number tags, where they were use, were simply pulled at random from a bin when they were needed during assembly.

One thing you have to remember... when many of these vintage amps were being made, no one ever thought they would wind up to be vintage... and determining anything by a serial number would be more important than it was for the manufacturer at the time.

Some companies do keep better track of serial numbers than others, but it does cost money to do so.

thanks for the info i was just wondering cuz i have a super old A212 and i dont have a year or anything i got it out of an apartment and it has amazing sound but i have no idea what its worth or anything
