Running sunns with alnico speakers?

Anyone dig alnico speakers with their sunns? I've been eyeing scumnicos or celestion golds to throw into a 2x12 cab for recording overdubs with my solarus. Thinking i could get some fat chime plugging into the bright input and flipping the mid boost switch off. Thoughts?

I dunno. I don't play guitar much anymore, but when I did, I usually used a 410S or a Solarus cabinet. Both cabinets have AlNiCo drivers and open backs and both sound good.

I think AlNiCo's and tubes are a good match, I'm not really aware of any real science to support it, but I like the combo!
