This is awesome.  Love your tone.  Drums sound really good too.  I can't say anything more.

Seriously, what is your mic setup for your drums.  Overheads(?) sound really good.  How many mics are you using and how large is your interface/mixer because I assume this is live and none of the instruments were isolated or tracked.

Thanks!

I'm putting every energy into getting the heaviest & thickest tone possible haha.

My setup is 8 tracks of live take on a Presonus Firestudio Mobile in a 14' x 16' room with no separations.

The drum has kick, snare and floor, a pair of Fostex MC-10 in X/Y pattern for overheads. these hard panned gives a nice stereo image of the drum cymbales and pick up the higher toms good enough.

I would still need a few more tracks to set 2 mics for each guitar and bass, specifically since I've setup the Bass on 2 rigs. Sonaro rig for heavy low clean only, and Solarus for Bass Big Muff dirt. you get a bit of the dual tone feedback in the clip which is nice. but you would get more of it with 4 mics and even some room mics too, the creepy dark feedback is the bass! love it. :-D

Wow, those Fostex sound really good for the price they're being sold at.  I might have to indulge.

Just a 57 for the guitar?  I could have sworn I saw at least one Sennheiser in a photo you posted.  Did you use that one along with the 57 in this recording?  Also, any recommended mics for micing bass cabs?  I have trouble with those.

yeah the Fostex are awesome for the price, 150$CAD for the kit! can't beat that. With a pair of these and a 2 mic input audio interface, you can record the all band easy.

I think this take was actually the e906 on the 215s & Model T. I plan to record with both SM57 and e906 for guitar.

For bass I use D421. could even work for a low tuned guitar, guess I'll have to try that next time! Next I want to get on bass is a Beta52a.

I want it to so bad & also release a DIY CD!

but we just changed drummer again...the other got sick! and my bassist will be gone for a part of summer...so hard to get people all together on a steady basis...but we will keep at it
I have enough gear for a 2 piece band...haha.

with the re-tubed model T and the Fuzz War, it got even heavier yesterday! Sunn growl to the fullest!

lost my bassist... :x

but, I already got a bassist into slow & heavy doom who's willing to take the spot! :-)

I keep contact with anyone into stoner, sludge & doom in my region, you never know what the futur can bring.

next jam is the try out! hope to get the beta bass by then, that bassist will be scared by the rig I'm providing to him haha!

yeah I know, already got a FB and I hate it.

Bandcamp is next when we're going to have our release official takes...

for now it's a demo sample. simple and easy.
