Sunn Solos ORIGINAL with preamp tubes
« on: November 15, 2021, 10:24:58 am »
Can anyone PLEASE help with info / schematic for the original Solos amp? I have a Sunn Solos on my bench right now (The first version with 3 preamp tubes). I replaced all of the electrolytic caps and I need to replace one resistor which has burn beyond recognition. Is there anyone that could tell me the value of the resistor or provide a schematic? It is in parallel with a .005uf capacitor.
I GREATLY appreciate any help!

I'm not familiar with the Solos amp, and I don't think I've ever seen a schematic for it.

You say that the resistor is in parallel with the cap. Might help to know where the cap is in the circuit.

Sorry I can't be of more help.

I think I have I figured out. I went back and looked at all of the Sunn schematics I could find. The Sentura 1 model has what I believe is a similar reverb circuit. It has a .0005 cap in parallel with a 4.7K resistor across the reverb transformer leads. Thanks anyway for trying! 😎🎸👍
