I've been looking at two Model T's, everything else looks the same except for this difference.
Are these diff. year models, or what?

I read that the proper Sunn Model T had a red logo and red tips on the knobs. Fenders have the white logo and tips. You might wanna wait to see if someone else replys but I think I'm correct.

Yeah, these were both original Sunn Model Ts, not the Fender. While the FMIC Model Ts do, in fact, have the white/silver faces, so do the ORIGINAL-original Ts, referred to as first generation Model Ts. The red faces came out a few years later (hence, second generation) and featured a mid-range selector switch on the front. I missed seeing this in the pictures. I hear that most guitar players favor the first gens, and the 2nd gens are more suited for bass. I bet they're both killer in their own ways.
I've since bought the first gen. white face Model T and am supposed to get it via UPS on Mar. 6th!!!!

I would take a 1st or 2nd... But I've emailed all over here in the UK and no one seems so have any at all. I'm gonna get one though. How much did you pay?

The first Model T's came out in the early 70's and had a black face w/ silver stripe. Then a mid switch was added. Then I believe Sunn was sold and the next model had the red logo/knobs. There is a difference in the tone between models w/o the mid switch and the ones with. The early ones w/o the mid switch are the ones that have sound that most people (that I know of) want. There is a web site showing how to mod the one with the mid switch to make it sound better.

And where might this website be?

And where might this website be?
I knew I'd get busted on that one, but it was late. Just did a google search and didn't find it. I may have copied it. Will check in the next few days and if so, I'll email it to you. Might also search this site, as this is where I found it.
