WTB Sunn Beta Lead pots !

Hi Guys,

First post here ...

I'm looking for those D shaft pots and I haven't been lucky yet. Gotta say, I don't know that much about curves, pots values and all of that but I had a look in the manual / schematic and it seems I need 100 kohm linear (1 master volume) and 30k S Curve (2 of them for reverb). Anybody would happen to have those hanging around from a defect head or something?
If you know where to buy, PLZ let me know that would really make my day. I already found some knobs, badly need the pots now ...

I use these CTS pots available at Mouser to replace broken pots in Sunn Beta heads.

You have to use flying leads to wire them in but they do fit between the chassis and board just fine. Throw a bit of tape on the back of the pot to make sure they don't contact any of the leads coming through the circuit board when installed. The flatted shaft on these fits the Beta knobs exactly and you can get them in several values. The link I gave you is for the 100K linear pot. I don't see a "30K S curve" pot which I don't think you will find anywhere these days. It was probably custom built for them. From what I understand "S curve" just means audio taper. The closest you are going to get with these CTS pots is the 50K Linear Taper pot linked below. I doubt it's all that important as far as the reverb goes to have that taper, but if you want to try to simulate it you can see this page where they describe how to simulate it with a Linear pot by adding resistors between the wiper and outside pins. http://sound.westhost.com/pots.htm#chg-law
