Also. Live Wire Advantage cables are good for the price. They're not bad and they're not terribly great. You only pay about $1 a foot. Lifetime warranty, and they're so styled so simply there's no reason not to like them!

If you can, I recommend going the DIY route.  Neutrik NP2X connectors are mechanically well designed in that they really isolate the soldered wire from mechanical stress, and at $2.50/connector, they're not too ridiculously priced.  As for the cable itself, just get something with a braided shield, and you'll have a fairly durable cable.  It'll probably work out to around $1/ft for a 10' cable, and unlike the overpriced Monster garbage (a quick search turned up a 12' cable for $40!), you can repair this yourself should the need arise.
