Hi,

here are two links for a really great Sunn lovers (2000S on Bass and (I think) a 100S or 1000S on guitar) called Colour Haze:

and a Sound Check:

The Sound check is a good example to me how a 2000S should sound.  :-D JEAHHH!

These guys use a LOT of vintage SUNN.

I sold the guitarist both my Leslie West prototype Coliseum Model T head and my Peter Townshend English Lead prototype head.

He was also using a Coliseum PA tube head as his main head at the time.

Good band.

They sure are crazy for vintage amps and particular for SUNN. Great players too!

mc2,
What is a Coliseum T and how is it different than a Coliseum PA?
Thanks,
Johnny G.

The Coliseum Model T I had was a prototype....basically looked to be built on one of the larger 1200S chassis but had the control layout of the later Model T that we are familiar with. Inside you could see where they had moved several componants, trying out various ideas. The master control was set between the words "SUNN" and "Coliseum."

It was a VERY cool piece. The front panel had ' Coliseum Model "T" ' put over whatever model name was originally on the SUNN faceplate. The "T" even appeared to have been drawn freehand before it was silkscreened on.

You can see it in the background (upper left) in this one pic of some of my SUNN gear.

I have seen ONE early Model T amp that actually had "Coliseum Model T" silkscreened on the back chassis, where all the others normally only say "Model T," so maybe they were originally going to call them that?

Well....my GF actually threatened to send photos and my name/address into that "Hoarders" TV show.

I tried to explain that guitars & amps is NOT the same as crazy people living under five feet of old, dirty clothing; pizza boxes; and animal feces.

She backed down when I told her a 2000S cab "is about the size of a good coffin."  :)

I would easily give you $20, just to be near some of that stuff. Do us a favor mc2, and never post your entire collection on here. I'm afraid you'd have a few suicides on your hands.
