SUNN 610S cab...went with what head?
« on: June 10, 2001, 08:58:00 am »
I have a couple of SUNN silver-face 610S cabs with the six 10-inch speakers, three-per-side, angled inward at 45 degrees.
I can't find this cab listed anywhere and was wondering what model head9s) it was originally paired with?

Hi Jon, I remember seeing these cabs in music shops with a concert lead (transistor type) head around ' 74 or ' 75. They may have made these earlier for the tube heads. I think they also made a 6 12 angled like this also.
Hope this helped.

Yeah, I saw someone with a Concert Lead head with a 610S cab but it was the black-faced one. Wondering if anyone has seen the silver 610S cab with some original silver-grilled head? Just looks like it was made to go with one.

Back in 75, the rhythm player in my band got himself a Concert Lead and a 610S. The blackface hadn't come out yet. It was a good combination.

At that time, Sunn had stopped bundling heads with particular speakers. Each was sold separately, and you could match the 610S with the concert lead or the Model T. Usually, though, the 610S and 612S went with the Concert Lead, while the 412S went with the Model T, either as a half or full stack.
