Thanks, it's open. Speaker help?

Thanks to the response from "Slade", I am inside my 1X15 cab. I believe the speaker is not original. It has no name on it, and looks pretty new.

There is a number on the frame: 55-560 1090994
There is a number on the paper cone:506807-1

Anyone care to hazard a guess as to who made this speaker, and when?

Thanks for all the support. You guys have been great helping figure out my Sunn.

no idea from just the #'s. but...
if the magnet is square it probably an Eminence.

if the magnet large with three bolts around the perimeter as you look facing the back of the speaker it is an Cerwin Vega.

if the enter of the cone is silver ( i forget what this is called ) its probaly a JBL.

sunn used the make of speakers in their cabs. do you have a plate in the back of the cab with serial number, model number, etc? if so what does it say?

Check out the following links for help on speaker codes its pretty complete

http://www.webervst.com/codes.html
http://www.triodeel.com/eiacode.htm

I looked there and could not decipher the 1090994......unless the 109 means American Condensor... and that does't sound like a speaker manufacturer to me.....1098 means PYLE .....how clear is that last 9?

good luck.
