concert lead impedence

is it okay to use a red knob concert lead with 2 8 ohm cabs? how many watts goes out the amp at 4 ohms? can i use the head with 2 ohm cab?
'74 orange or-120

'79 sunn 215b
laney klipp cabinet loaded w/ eminence the governor and v128 speakers

fuzzes, dirtboxes, delay pedals

thanks, i've searched but can't find this topic. is it okay to run the amp with boost on all the time at high volume level?

You got me on that one, I don't know much about transistor Sunns specifically. I would imagine it would depend on what load you are using.

Of course you could always try it and see what happens. Post your results here and then everyone will know the answer! ; )

I can't think of any way that running the amp with the boost on all the time would be any more dangerous than running it with, say, the bass control up all the way. On the other hand, you have to watch that you don't ask the amp to do more than it can do, any more than you'd run it with the volume control up all the way.
