I'd love to have this as a poster; now think about this---unless Noel's got more amp heads off to the side, he's only pumping 120 watts RMS

It looks like you're a 1/3 of the way there...

Here's some more "back in the day" pix I came across, very revealing...

and....

In the first set, you can see a stacked pair of 200s cabs on Jimi's side(bass monitors?); assuming that they're powered by a third 200s head(the other two seen on top of Noel's stacks)poor Noel was still under powered---2x100=200watts(Marshalls) Vs. 3x60=180watts(Sunn).  The two Sunn cabs on Jimi's side could also have been used by Jimi himself as well. Once again, I'm mystified by Noel's wall; two 200s cannot power six(actually seven)cabs...were some up there as spares?
Then check this out:

In the bottom left shot you can see a Colisseum PA cab...there are bar bands today with more sound gear!!! Over 10 years ago on the original version of this site there was photo(perhaps a old Sunn ad)that showed Noel's three 2000s head/six cab rig along with a Colisseum PA stack, but it has disappeared(anyone have access to that?). In these snapshots, none of the guitar/bass amps seemed to be mic'd up, no vocal monitors(and just one mic on the kick drum), but it doesn't look like a very big auditorium.
Some more pix, dig the 'clean-cut' crowd...and early Soft Machine....

But obviously, the secret to Noel's sound is the red coil cord....

fwiw-JIMI and band were given a bunch of SUNN gear during the love affair before it all went south-i think those pix were @ the height of 'here, try this' syndrome. no way to know what amps and cabs are plugged in and to what. they just rolled stuff out-if for no other reason than it looks cool. just sayin'

Those are not necessarily stock production 200S heads. There were several prototype 2000S heads made on the old 200S chassis'. Check these threads:

If the cabinets were wired for 16 ohms using 8 ohm D140F speakers, you could run 4 cabinets from each head.

There is a documentary I saw on PBS titled "When Dallas Rocked". It's mostly about the Dallas music scene in the 60's and 70's. Lots of stuff about the Vaughn brothers Jimmy and Stevie Ray. But there are a couple of pictures of when Hendrix played Dallas, and I think noel was using the rig pictured above. I have attached that photo here in case the link goes bad.
