So, Im a HUGE Wino fan, and I saw an interview with him on metalkult. He basically told the viewers the secret to his excellent tone, and I am curious about making the change myself.
I currently have an original !970's V1 Model T. The tubes are stock, and still sound wonderful. But Wino believes that if you take the stock tubes out and replace them with "hot" Electro Harmonix 12ax7's and Svetlana 6550's, the sound will be much more aggressive and lush with sustain and bite
Has any one made modifications similar to this/have any information?
