Speaking of Kat and Salome, I dig Batillus alot too.  Kat isn't in Batillus, I know, but peep this video and blow your mind.  You'll know what I mean when you watch it.

Also, let's play Where's Waldo.  Find the hiding Sunn cab and win absolutely nothing.   :-D

I've been listening to some Jack Bruce live recordings from 1971 forward (having just finished reading his autobiography) and John Cippolina post-Quicksilver aggregations including Barry Melton of the Fish.
Sunn since June 1971!
1971 Sorado, 2000S, Coliseum Bass, Coliseum Lead
1970 200S; 1974 Coliseum 880

Friends of Dean Martinez. Neko Case. Lemon Jelly. Portishead. Mozart. Devotchka. Type O negative. Bill Monroe. The two local college radio stations.  And a persistent ringing/squeal.

Vestiges- The Decent of Man
Panopticon/Skagos split
Deafheaven- demo
Fall of Efrafa- everything they put of really
Ocean- Here Where Nothing Grows and Parthenon of the Lesser(finally picked this vinyl up last time I was in Chicago.  Paid too much money for it, but totally worth it.)
Disnihil- Self-titled
From Ashes Rise/Victims split

Protestant is super cool.  They put on a really good show.  Also, their singer/guitar player(I think he plays guitar too) runs Halo of Flies Records which has some really good bands.

Fall of Efrafa does in fact rule, and yes the guitars of protestant does run H.O.F.

Post what ever are listening to, you know the drill.

Ocean-Pantheons of the Lesser
and I thought I would paste this here as well... One of my all time favorite bands.

and:

They are great! Got the CD 3 years ago from a good friend of mine! Thanks for the link!

Though you like this sound - look at this this:

Frumpy:

Freedoms Children (a hidden Secret):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VODqpRhZyJk

...you might like "aktive" bands with cool early 70`s sound like:

Black Mountain
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v1WZRiD727U&feature=related

or Sienna Root
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YWtg6M2pJSo&feature=related

(...strange enough, the bass guy normaly uses just an early 1970 SVT with the matching box, not the Hartke...)

...love this Sound!!!! :-D

No problem, I love Frumpy! you ever heard of Bodkin? Not familiar with Black Mountain or sienna root but Iwill definitely check them out more!

Weezer the blue album for like the last two weeks.  Forgot how much I really liked this cd.  Haven't listened to it in 20 years.
