Title: Was given a 2000s
Post by: oldamp on October 05, 2006, 07:28:30 pm
I was just given a 2000s I believe that its dates around 68-70 on the back it states 480 watts it appears to be missing a tube the second from the left on the back. I would like to know if anyone has a scamatic for this amp

Congratulations on your gift! That is a valuable amp to a lot of people, a true piece of rock history. If you have a tube rectified 2000S it's rated at 120 watts, if its solid state rectified it's rated at 150 watts. Here's a link to a schematic;

The 480 watts is the maximum total for using the AC outlet on the back, not the output of the amplifier.

Looking at the back of the amp, the two tubes on the left are the rectifier tubes. GZ34? I think it will work with only one, but it won't put out full power.
