Is a 190L a Sceptre in disguise? I saw Sceptre head on ebay that said it was a 190L.
The 190L sticker covered the Sceptre and the sunn logo ?????? Why would they (Sunn)do this?

Some of the schematics that I have seen are marked 190L/Sentura I/Solarus.

I think the answer is that you have basically two guitar front ends, one with and one without solid state effects.

You have one power amp - descended from the Dynakit. However, depending on the year/model, the amp will use EL-34's, 6550's, and KT-88's - changing the bias, voltages, and transformers, as required. Also suspect that you will notice the output resistance change depending on the intended speaker(s).

Bottom line to all of this is that, if you have a good tech in tow, you can bring your Sunn back to be pretty much whatever you want.

All will still be loud and clean.

Some of the schematics are marked Sceptre/190. As noted above, there is not a lot of difference among the amps - the most important ones being transformer size and tubes. Check with the techs, but basically going between EL-34s and 6550s is a no-no w/out mods. Going back and forth between KT-88s and 6550s is fine.
