Question on the Sunn 412SR Tower
« on: March 25, 2019, 07:32:38 pm »
Pretty simple question. One of these popped up in my area and I want to know 1 thing about it:

Are the inputs for stereo? Or is it an input and then an output to chain to another cab?

I am assuming the later, but figured the community can give me a better answer than that.

I have a sunn Beta Lead right now that I want to run into a single cab with a JSX. I have 2 412s right now and It's a bit much for my house.

I like the form factor of a tower much more than the squares I have now.

Unless some previous owner did some re-wiring, they should be paralleled input jacks wired for daisy chaining additional speakers.  If not, you could fix it pretty easily.

I'm not a huge wiring guy but I picked it up anyways and took a look inside. It seems pretty basic so I might give it a shot.

The transducers were replaced at some point along the way though with 2 celestions (the g12L) and a celestion pd-12i which I can't seem to find much information about. only 1 of the sunn transducers is still original it seems. Kind of a bummer but I really just love the look of it.
