supplies for rehab-ing an old Model T
« on: March 08, 2003, 05:06:37 pm »
The wood box is pretty much dry rot, and the amp I bought doesn't have any handles.  All the pictures of vintage Model Ts appear to have the same side handle-straps as the FMIC re-issue.  Anybody know where I can get some of these, some chrome corner caps for the box I'm going to build?
(or if anyone knows where to get one made, as I don't have any tools to make one; dimensions would be helpful too, if anyone knows)

Other than that, I maybe want to replace the plate around the standy/power switches.  Info onthat would really be helpful.

Also, anyone know how to bias the vintage Ts?  There's a little orange port that says "bias adj."  My FMIC has 3 ports, and you hold 1&2 for the bias and 3&4 for the balance...is there an easy way to do this with the old Ts?  I have a meter.

thanks folks!
