Beta Power + (Plus) Powered Cab
« on: September 04, 2016, 08:54:41 pm »
I've never seen one before and if info about it is in the catalog section here, I missed it.  Anyway, guy says it's 100 watts with a 15" speaker.  If you can tell me anything about it, I would love to hear it.  A powered cab called Beta Power + with red emblem and knob and white speaker.  Thanks.

The Power Plus amps are basically versions of the combo amps (4x10, 2x12, 1x15) but with just a power amp installed instead of a complete Beta two channel amp. The intent was to allow the player to add cabinets and more power to a Beta rig. Cosmetics are the same as the Beta combo amps, black tolex, white speaker baffle. Probably pretty rare. Only in the 1979 catalog the model numbers are Beta 115P+, Beta 212P+ and Beta 410P+.

As always loudthud, thanks for sharing your wealth of information and helping me.

Any idea what 15" speaker is supposed to be in it?

Thanks again!

The speaker was Sunn part number 81-0144-00-90. Probably a CTS or Eminence square magnet 4 Ohm.
