I would like to replace the four preamp tube sockets in my new Model T that are attached directly to the PC Board. I have to resolder them and tighten the pins every couple of months.
I was wondering if anybody else had this problem and had any suggestions as to a suitable tube socket replacement. I purchased some ceramic tube sockets from New Sensor but the PC Board is too small for those. I would prefer not to cut the PC Board to fit the new sockets but if that is my only option, I will. Has anybody out there tried something or knows of something that may work?
