Sunn Model T re-issue tube question
« on: April 22, 2003, 01:59:47 pm »
Ok guys/gals,

I am new to tube heads and I got a Model T re-issue last year (yeah, I know it is not the 'good ones' but I have to start somewhere). Anyway, I want to change the tubes and was wondering what some suggestions might be since I am tube illiterate.

I play mainly doom/sludge/heavy r-n-r stuff.

Any advice is very much appreciated!

dude that is not a beginers amp at all.

its a beast perfect for waht yoru doing out side of anything solid state..

if you really wanna get heavy pick up a pair of concert leads..

any how that thing takes gl6l6gc's and 12ax7 pre amps standard issue.

if you can pick up a vintage sunn 412 scince the 6l6's are a bit muddy not alot a slam a nice loud 412 would suit it perfectly.

He's heard my band. I brought him here to the forums to get help with his Sunn.  I'm all about the Betas. I had two Concert Leads, but now I have 2 Betas and I am loving it.
