Sunn amplifier switches
« on: February 25, 2001, 01:38:00 am »
I am looking for a source for Sunn amplifier (rocker type) switches for a Sunn 1966 model 100 S.
I have been playing this amp for a few years. This amp kicks. This amp shuts down after 15 minutes.
I have to bang on the switches to make the amp work.
Is there a source to purchase a power switch, a standby switch, and a polarity switch????? Any suggestions or answers????? Please email me at magnetic_field@tsrcom.com
                                     Thank you

SmartParts may still have some Sunn original switches. Many electronic supply companies carry these same switches. I believe the originals were made by Carling.

Yes, Carling was the supplier of choice during my stay at Sunn.

I have located a supply of these exact replacement On-Off and Standby switches for the vintage Sunn amps. The On-Off is a lighted switch and both are exact versions of the originals.
Contact me if you need any of these.
