2 Questions about 1975 Model T

I own a 75 Model T and have heard many conflicting reports............some say they are 100W, some say 120W and I have heard 200 W ?

Also, can I pull 2 tubes to cut the power  If so which ones, and do I then have to halve the impedance ( ie, if you have a 4 ohm cab, do you have to set the head for 2 ohms )

I have been told time and again that it is hard to get these to distort, but with my 300W Traynor cab with vintage Eminence speakers and my Gibson SG, I get tonnes of overdrivce and grit..........sounds awesome.  Very "rock and roll"

Well it depends what tubes you have in really to determine the power. With my 6550 power tubes it's 200w and 150w RMS.

As for removing tubes to lower the output, you remove the middle two as far as I know. But please check this first, I won't be held responsible for your death, or your amps

I tried removing two tubes, many years ago, and found that it made little difference. Makes sense, when you realize that cutting the power in half only reduces the output by 3dB.

Yes, if you do this, the output impedance of the amp doubles, so you'd need to set the impedance selector for one half of the cabinet's rated impedance.
