So I got myself a Sunn
« on: April 27, 2005, 06:02:39 pm »
Just picked up a Coliseum 880. I'm new to the Sunns so here's my question. There are two speaker outputs on the back, I have heard that the head runs at 4 ohms but can also run at 2. In order to do this would I plug a 4 ohm Cab into each speaker out?

And another question. I also have an old all tube Univox 100 watt head. I would like to use that as well, would running from the preamp out to the Univox be acceptable for this?

I'm new to this game, so any help or suggestions is greatly appreciated. -thanks

Seann, what do you hope to gain by using both heads?

The Sunn 880 has more power than the Univox.

If the Sunn is like my Coli-300 you can hook the Univox into the Sunn to get even more power out of it.

It would just disable the preamp of the 880 and give you all the power it has.
