100s filter caps
« on: September 06, 2005, 10:07:26 am »
Time to replace the B+ filters on my 100s (rev/trem, '69). Not going the multi-section route as the first section in the string will be either at or way too close to its V limit. Probably end up using a turret board on the top side of the chassis with a couple 350v caps in series for plate supply.

Anyone done this yet? How'd it turn out (appearance, stability)?

Are you using the ST70 board?  Let us know how it turns out.  I'll be recapping a Solarus in a few weeks and would be interested in whether you find this to be a workwhile improvement.
