those amps are great. its a workhorse.
with a little tweaking it can sound awesome. i own one as well.
the only complaint i ever had about it was that everything inside is soldered to PCBs and it makes it a little bit of a chore to work on.
but the sound you get in return is worth it.
i eventually removed the boards and handwired everything.
i have since installed KT88 tubes in lieu of the 6550s.
if you would like to hear what that amp sounds like when its tweaked and allowed to sing, check out some of my bands stuff. I used my A212 on all of my lead tracks, and the sound is just guitar into amp. no effects other than a wah were used.
