I ACCIDENTLY FOUND A 200S AT THE 2000 ARLINGTON GUITAR SHOW THIS WEEKEND. I'VE BEEN A BASS PLAYER FOR 36 YEARS. STARTED, LIKE EVERYONE, AT THE TIME, WITH A FENDER. STANDELL IMPERIAL'S WERE HOT,BUT SUNN'S WERE POPPING UP EVERYWERE. AMPEG(MAGNAVOX) CAME OUT WITH THE SVT. THE STONES...WELL, ALMOST EVERYONE EXCEPT HENDRIX. I HEARD, JIM(I LOVE THE MAN) MARSHALL CUT BACK ON JIMI'S MARSHALL'S AND HE WENT TO SUNN... . WELL, MY BAND THEN BITCHED ABOUT THE SVT SO I TRADED BUSTER LIPPIM FOR A SUNN 2000. I STILL USED 8X10& 1X18 AND I STILL HAVE NEVER HEARD SUCH A BONE CRUSHING SOUND.I'M IN A BAND WITH SOME HOT GUNS IN DALLAS(ONE BEING TIM GNADER, GUITARZAN)AND NOW I'M READY TO GET BACK TO CAN YOU FEEL MY BASS NOW. FORGET THE OTHER CRAP "THEY SAY" IS HOT. IF YOU WANT YOUR BAND TO ROCK, WITH BONE MOVING BASS, SUNN(REAL SUNN,OLD) IS THE ONLY ANSWER. LOOK AT THE CREDITS AND ENDORSEMENTS.

My tube amp guru who, is currently finishing up his 3rd amp for Robert Cray, sold me my 2000s.  I've found nirvana. I've been running it at 2.67 ohm load with no problems for the last 2 years.  I've given up on finding a matching cab, but would really like to have a bagend 18 to run with my 2-10.  Those 18s just add a little something when your down on the B string.  :^)
A World without music would be WRONG!

I'm also from Dallas, and mine likes my Peavey 2X15 BW silverdome guitar speakers and my Peavey 1X18 front-radiating sub. Run both on a series adapter (thanks Sunn forum) to make a 8 ohm load and it does whump air. I've gotten used to the compression now and the damn thing has treble out the wazoo! I had mine worked over and retubed with GT 6550s (my request) by Slemmons here in Dallas and they did a fantastic job. Now if *I* could just find a pair of 2000s 2X15 cabs...
:-)
