Amps don't "have" ohms. However, what I think you want to know is what impedance load you can put on it. The Concert Lead amps I'm familiar with will work reliably down to 4 ohms.

Impedance is the correct term for what you are calling ohms.

It means the total opposition to current flow in an alternating current circuit and consists of both resistance and reactance where reactance comes from capacitive or inductive components.  It is also measured in ohms and can sometimes be confusing as a result.

If you put an ohmmeter on your speakers you would only be measuring the DC resistance of the voice coil, not the impedance.  Same thing with pickups - the resistance of the coil which is often quoted in advertisements is not the same as the impedance of a pickup.

Impedance is described here: http://www.electronics-tutorials.com/basics/impedance.htm

If that's too advanced for you, go to the home page, and go through the other basic electronics tutorials, especially resistance, capacitince, inductance, then impedance again. It should make a lot more sense after that.

I read through it, and it's not as good as I thought it would be. All of his examples are resistive. Still, it might help.

This one is more technical:

Actually, it might be best to just think in terms of resistance for the time being. That works pretty well for hooking up cabinets to amplifiers.
