I am not sure of how to describe this particular model. It has the black face (no red knobs.) Is this an early or later model than the "red knob" versions? I found a link to the owner's manual here (thanks!) I don't have it in my hands as of yet, but I am really looking forward to trying it out. The tolex and face look great, but the knobs show some wear. Is there a source for replacements? Any NOS out there?

Sorry, I was confusing the Concert with the Coliseum. Mine has the 7 band EQ.

I have a Coliseum 300 bass head, and I got a manual here, too. If there's a schematic in the manual, check the date on the schematic. Mine is an eighties model (black knobs, compression, biamp, contour button under the gain) which were made after the red knob Coliseums (which were the models John Entwistle used in the seventies). They're fantastic amps, the manual is a fun read.

If I may offer a piece of advice, keep a piece of foam, like foam rubber or Auralex or even a bunch of carpet samples- some sort of cushion- between the amp and cab because the vibrations from the cabinet will shake the amp silly over time and then you'll  have to go in some day and resolder everything.

Yours is like the one I am waiting on. My equipment is in "flux" and will have to run it into a 2x12 cabinet. I will be looking for a 2x15 or and 18'' cab to put under the 2x12.

That sounds pretty good. I would suggest finding a way to get a two ohm cabinet setup if you want your full three hundred watts, which is a beautiful thing when it's coming out of a Sunn. Shavano Music Online is a good site to check out in case you're into doing your own cabinets and wiring.
You may also want to have someone check the power transistors thermal compound (if you're uncomforatable with poking around powerful amplifiers) to make sure it's not dried out. Most likely it's fine, but on a twenty-plus year old amp (especially one of those), it's worth checking out.
As for the knobs, you might just go to the hardware store or even an auto parts store and find some nice touch-up paint.

Sorry if this is too much advice, hope it all works out!

Thanks for the input!. My 212 is 4ohm. All I need is a 4ohm 18'' cab.

Is there any promotional material or price list for the later model 300 coliseum's?

I don't know about that. Unless someone here remembers, it would be pretty hard to find out, I guess.
